Why Coaching?
All abilities are catered for, from beginners right up to established low handicappers. At T&P we have the facilities to work on all elements of your game, including a covered teaching bay to allow coaching in all conditions and a great short game area with two greens.
Video analysis using the latest computer software is available, as well as access to the latest techniques and training aids from golf's leading instructors. Details of Jason & the teams basic lesson packages are detailed in the lesson pricing.
Here at Taunton & Pickeridge, we are extremely proud to run a hugely successful Academy programme, helping to introduce new players to the wonderful game of golf.
This year-round programme of golf coaching ran by Head Assistant PGA Professional Ali Williams is tailored to the needs of specific groups such as new adult beginners, juniors, ladies or older players. In each case, the aim is to introduce the game and enable the player to feel comfortable and confident in the company of other learners.
To that end, we have developed a simple “golfer’s pathway”. This system allows players to see how they may progress from beginner to competent golfer and also to explore what membership and coaching options may suit them during this process.

Jason Avery - Head PGA Professional
Jason is the Head PGA Golf Professional at Taunton & Pickeridge Golf Club. Offering a well stock shop, coaching and custom fitting service. Exceptional customer service.
Ali Williams - PGA Professional
Ali has been a member at "T&P" since 2003 when he took up the game age 13. He successfully represented the club at all levels from juniors through to men's first team. Upon turning professional, Ali undertook the position of Assistant professional at Tiverton Golf Club in Devon and began his PGA training under Alistair Welsher. Ali returned to T&P in March 2017 in his new position.
